Prayers for Preston teams up with Rockport Pirate Fest

ROCKPORT, Texas â Preston Simpson was involved in an ATV accident in December of 2020, and the road to recovery has not been an easy one, but Preston has bounced back in just six months.
This weekend, Rockport Pirate Fest will help celebrate Preston while also helping raise money for his medical expenses.
A silent auction will be held and a bake sale as well, all to help out little Preston and his family.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â The Rockport Fulton Market Days will be host over 150 of the best art, craft and resale vendors from May 14 to May 16 open at 9 a.m to 5 p.m.
There will be live music throughout the weekend as well as a costume contests, mermaid costume contest and a 3- Legged Race. The top prize in the costume contest is $600.
Along with the festivities at market days the second annual pirate fest will introduce six professional pirate re-enactors to entertain the kids and adults from Friday through Sunday.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Throughout the Coastal Bend, several events kicking off the start of May have been canceled due to the severe weather we are experiencing.
Today s scheduled Safe Fun-Fit at the Bayfront has been canceled. Due to the rain and wind, the event will not be taking place. It will resume next Saturday, May 8, with a free 5K and 10K, fitness classes and disc golf exhibition.
The Portland Farmer s Market, as well as the city s Play it Safe events scheduled for today have also been canceled. The city says it will miss people visiting the area, but safety is the top priority.
