ROCKPORT, Texas â Preston Simpson was involved in an ATV accident in December of 2020, and the road to recovery has not been an easy one, but Preston has bounced back in just six months.
This weekend, Rockport Pirate Fest will help celebrate Preston while also helping raise money for his medical expenses.
A silent auction will be held and a bake sale as well, all to help out little Preston and his family.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas â Jerred King started a GoFundMe for two-year-old Preston Simpson, who is in the Intensive Care Unit at Driscoll Childrenâs Hospital following an ATV accident.
King works with Prestonâs father Tyson at SR Trident in Gregory. King started the GoFundMe to help the Simpson family pay for medical expenses while Preston is in the hospital.
âHaving a child near his kidâs age, I could kind of relate as a father. I couldnât imagine dealing with the stress of what your child is going through and compiling financial worries, medical bills, and all that. Just caring about him as an individual, caring about his family and what theyâre going through, I just did what I could do to help,â King said.
