. thank you! reporter: rick santorum delivered the news to supporters in missouri. we are going to win kansas and the vast majority of delegates from kansas! [ cheers & applause ] reporter: kansas voters favored santorum in a state where mitt romney and newt gingrich did not campaign. i m thrilled to come and support rick santorum. reporter: and the associated press is reporting romney has won the wyoming caucus, adding another six delegates to his total. gingrich spent saturday barn storming in alabama. the former house speaker signed autographs and asked for support as he works to jump start his campaign in the deep south. if we can win alabama and mississippi tuesday night, we will reset the campaign for i guess the ninth or tenth time, sometime on wednesday. reporter: gingrich is vowing to stay in the race right through the gop convention, but santorum is hoping a poor showing on tuesday will force gingrich to drop out, consolidating the conservative vote
just some of the data collected from incoming freshman. but as robert lyles tells us, the uc system could soon be asking for another more sensitive piece of information. admission to the university of california has never been easy and goes beyond grades and sat scores. remember prop 209 which outlawed race? now there s a new consideration for incoming freshman and transfer students. declare your sexual orientation. i think it s a good idea. i think that it offers a place for the uc system as a whole and for individual campuses to say how many students are on this campus? tells cbs la, they are already in talks with administrators to add a sexual orientation box to the statement of intent. the hope is that uc berkeley will be next. it is a part of diversity and maybe for this, it s not necessarily outreach or trying to get more students, but it s how can we better offer services? a gay teen is why the uc board of admissions made the recommendation back in january.
