the rallying cry for one woman. her dog died after eating wild mushrooms. at bay area woman is making it her mission to prevent the same thing from happening to your dog. his name was denato, which was italian were great. the pyrenees mountain puppy dog was playing in the friends backyard when he ate eight so- called death cap mushroom. that s tried everything but after two and half days he died. it s the scary death. it was very hard. asked for the year and half and diana is on the crusade to hunt down and raise awareness about death camps. the number one cause of fatal mushroom poisoning. this map shows how far they have spread all over california since arriving in the late 1930 s. they grow under the trees during mating season. they have the distinctive cup at the base of the stem and smell like butter at first and then smelled like rotting fish making them irresistible to dogs. diana has been keeping track of dog deaths blamed on mushrooms. in march there were 15
