windshield of the suspect s car. then i hear a gunshot realize it is the police the car takes off i see the front of the car lurch up. he found the officer on the ground here unconscious andbleeding from his head. ran over half his body tire marks coming up his uniform. police have not released the officers name only identifying him as a five year veteran of the force. i was trying to keep him awake he started looking at me and squeezing back. after the police officer was hit, the car made it to about right here when the suspect got out of the car and he started to grab his side they say he got to about this white block here when they realized he had been shot. he got out and didn t even try to run he just walked down the side of the house i guess that is when the realization he was shot came in and just stood there. police quickly arrested the suspect identified as 21-year- old robert daniel washington the third of monassis. police will not confirm if it was
