Woman In Karnataka Sex For Job CD Scandal Kidnapped, Say Family Mar 17, 2021, 15:31 IST
The woman seen in the sex for job CD scandal that resulted in the resignation of Karnataka BJP minister Ramesh Jarkiholi on Sunday had released a video clip desperately pleading with the state government to provide protection to her. The woman stated that she has been kidnapped and her life is in danger. As per reports, the police have registered a case under IPC sections 363, 368, 343, 346, 354 and 506 based on a complaint lodged by the woman s father.
Meanwhile, a Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the case involving former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has intensified its search for the woman in the video and two other suspects involved in the case. Following the release of the woman s video seeking protection, Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai had directed the SIT, probing the case, to provide her security.

Ramesh Jarkiholi refutes sexual harassment charges
BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, who had stepped down as minister on March 3 following allegations of sexual harassment against him, said on Tuesday that the videos purportedly showing him with a woman were fake and vowed to send the conspirators behind bars. I am innocent. This CD (video clips) are 100 per cent fake. There is no doubt about it, Jarkiholi told reporters.Â
The Gokak MLA s claim came two days after social activist Dinesh Kallahalli withdrew the police complaint against him, alleging he had sexually harassed a job aspirant and threatened her and family with dire consequences.Â

Karnataka minister caught in sex scandal, police file case
In fresh trouble for the BS Yediyurappa government in Karnataka, Major and Medium Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has allegedly been caught up in a sex scandal. A CD, showing the minister in a compromising position with a woman, was released to news channels on Tuesday. This comes just ahead of the month-long Budget session in Karnataka and at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to face elections in five states/UTs. The CD was released by social activist Dinesh Kallahalli after he filed a complaint with Bengaluru City police commissioner Kamal Pant.
