Karnataka government has set up a seven-member SIT to probe the scandal involving former state minister Ramesh Jarkiholi. Basavaraj Bommai, home minister of Karnataka, had ordered the formation of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on March 10.

In fresh trouble for the BS Yediyurappa government in Karnataka, Major and Medium Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has allegedly been caught up in a sex scandal. A CD, showing the minister in a compromising position with a woman, was released to news channels on Tuesday. This comes just ahead of the month-long Budget session in Karnataka and at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to face elections in five states/UTs. The CD was released by social activist Dinesh Kallahalli after he filed a complaint with Bengaluru City police commissioner Kamal Pant.

over a CD involving Ramesh Jarkiholi, what has left BJP red-faced is the alleged conversation between the former minister and the woman in the sex tape.
Jarkiholi, who resigned as Water Resources minister, can be heard allegedly saying that while Congress leader Siddaramaiah was good , Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa has done too much corruption . Jarkiholi, a former Congress leader, can also be heard saying that Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi would be the chief minister.

Karnataka Water Resources minister Ramesh Jarkiholi was embroiled in a controversy after a CD allegedly showing him in a compromising position with a woman emerged on Tuesday.
The CD was released to the media by social activist Dinesh Kalahalli, who alleged that the woman in the video clips was enticed by the minister with a government job offer at Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited. The activist said the family of the woman had approached him seeking justice last week.
