Ramesh Jarkiholi refutes sexual harassment charges
BJP MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi, who had stepped down as minister on March 3 following allegations of sexual harassment against him, said on Tuesday that the videos purportedly showing him with a woman were fake and vowed to send the conspirators behind bars. I am innocent. This CD (video clips) are 100 per cent fake. There is no doubt about it, Jarkiholi told reporters.Â
The Gokak MLA s claim came two days after social activist Dinesh Kallahalli withdrew the police complaint against him, alleging he had sexually harassed a job aspirant and threatened her and family with dire consequences.Â

A social activist on Sunday withdrew the complaint that he filed against former Karnataka minister Ramesh Jarkiholi for allegedly sexually harassing a woman in return for a government job, India Today reported.
Dinesh Kalahalli’s lawyer claimed his client took the decision because the woman’s image was being tarnished on social media. He added that the activist will not bow down to political pressure.
Purported videos of the unidentified women and the minister, as well as some telephone conversations, were shared on social media last week. The videos were also aired by Kannada news channels. Kallahalli had submitted a CD of all the video and audio clips to the police.

Karnataka minister caught in sex scandal, police file case
In fresh trouble for the BS Yediyurappa government in Karnataka, Major and Medium Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi has allegedly been caught up in a sex scandal. A CD, showing the minister in a compromising position with a woman, was released to news channels on Tuesday. This comes just ahead of the month-long Budget session in Karnataka and at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is preparing to face elections in five states/UTs. The CD was released by social activist Dinesh Kallahalli after he filed a complaint with Bengaluru City police commissioner Kamal Pant.
