Northeast India has been witnessing good rainfall activity for the last few days. In fact, some parts have even witnessed a few heavy spells of rains during this period, which is a typical Pre Monsoon phenomenon. Moreover, record rainfall was witnessed over Cherrapunji in the last 24 hours.
The sensitive weather activity is expected to lash the entire region and this could even prolong and extend till middle of April. Mountainous regions of Arunachal Pradesh and Meghalaya have to watch out for inclement weather conditions including landslides at few places.
Light rain with one or two moderate spells may also occur over sub-Himalayan West Bengal, parts of Northeast Bihar. Pre-monsoon activities may intensify once again over northeastern part of the country by April 13 or 14.
Northeast India has been witnessing some light to moderate rainfall in the past 24 hours. In fact, more rainfall activity is in store for the entire Northeast Indian region including the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, and Arunachal Pradesh.
