Dehradun (Uttarakhand) [India], January 20 (ANI): Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer Arvind Pandey has been transferred due to serious allegations against him, said UttarakhandChief SecretaryOm Prakash on Tuesday. He has only been transferred, no action has been taken yet. There were serious allegations on him, Prakash said while speaking to ANI.
Pandey was removed from the post of Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Dehradun due to corruption charges and a vigilance inquiry has been ordered against him.
Talking about the preparations going on for Mahakumbh, Chief Secretary said, About 95 per cent of the permanent work related to Mahakumbh preparations will be completed till January 31. Rest of the work will be completed till February 27. (ANI)

Pratapgarh: A woman officer posted in Uttar Pradesh s Pratapgarh has lodged a complaint against a man accusing him of raping and blackmailing her, the police said today.
Acting on the complaint, the police on Friday arrested the accused who is from the state s Shahjahanpur district, Station House Officer Ram Adhar said.

A man was arrested for allegedly raping and blackmailing an Uttar Pradesh government officer, police said on Saturday. The woman officer on January 2 had filed a complaint with the police alleging that the accused had made an obscene video of her and was blackmailing her as well as her family members, Station House Officer Ram Adhar said.
Acting on the complaint, the police on Friday arrested the accused hailing from Basantpur in Shahjahanpur district, he said. The woman officer, in her complaint, had alleged that the man used to beat and harass her during the days when she was taking coaching, Adhar said.
