Tigers Travel to Pawleys Island for ACC Championship

CLEMSON, S.C. – The Clemson women’s golf team is set to compete in the ACC Women’s Golf Championship at the Reserve Golf Club at Pawley’s Island in Pawley’s Island, S.C. The tournament begins Thursday, April 14, and concludes Sunday, April 17, and will feature three rounds of stroke play on Thursday (two rounds) and Friday (one round) before match play begins on Saturday. The top four teams following stroke play will advance to the match-play semifinals on Saturday with the finals being contested on Sunday.Clemson brings along a lineup of Katherine Schuster, Savannah Grewal, Melena Barrientos, Callista Rice, and Gabriella Tomanka. Grewal, Rice, and Pancake led the Tigers to a 6th-place finish at last year’s event in Greensboro, N.C.The teams are seeded based on GolfStat rankings, with the Tigers picking up a 6-seed heading into the weekend (#34 ranking). Grewal Concludes Play at Augusta National Women s Amateur – Clemson Tigers Official Athletics Site

Augusta, Ga. – Sophomore Savannah Grewal finished play at Champions Retreat after the first two rounds of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur on Friday afternoon. Grewal played the first nine holes of the second round on Thursday before play was halted due to weather, then played the final nine on Friday morning.Grewal finished her two rounds at +15, finishing below the cut line for Saturday’s final round. The entire field of 72 played a practice round at Augusta National on Friday following the conclusion of the second round.Grewal will now return to Clemson to prepare with the rest of the Tigers for the 2022 ACC Championships, taking place at The Reserve Golf Club in Pawleys Island, S.C., April 14-17.
