SUNSET, S.C. - Junior Annabelle Pancake birdied a stretch of six out of seven holes en route to a six-under-par 66 to lead Clemson to a three-stroke advantage after two rounds at the Clemson Invitational at the Reserve at Lake Keowee on Saturday. Pancake leads the field of 84 players at 9-under-par, and Clemson’s team score sits at seven-under-par 569 with one round to play. Sunset, S.C. – Annabelle Pancake finished at -5 in a four-way tie for first and Clemson women’s golf finished third at the seventh-annual Clemson Invitational at the Reserve at Lake Keowee. Two other Tigers finished inside the top-15 as the Tigers shot 289 on the afternoon (+1). No. 17 Ole Miss made a charge in the final round of the 16-team tournament, turning in a 283 (-5) to earn the outright team win. No. 3 LSU was scorching on the front nine, carding a -7, to lead the Tigers to a second-place finish. Pancake shared the individual title with reigning Clemson Invitational champion Ingrid Linblad of LSU, Crystal Wang of Illinois and Morgan Ketchum of Virginia Tech. Clemson, S.C. – Clemson recorded a 281 (-7) to hold a six-stroke lead after the first round of the Clemson Invitational, on the par-72, 6,386-yard course at The Reserve at Lake Keowee. The No. 28 Tigers finished ahead of eight ranked teams after the first round.Savannah Grewal led Clemson individually, finishing in the lead at -4 (68). THe Mississauga, Ontario, native birdied six holes, three on both the front and the back, to finish with a 68. Annabelle Pancake finished at -3 in a tie for second with individual Sydney Roberts. Clemson rising junior Annabelle Pancake and rising senior Savannah Grewal both advanced to the match play championship of the United States Women’s Amateur with top 64 finishes in the 36-hole stroke play qualifier completed on Tuesday. at Champers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Washington. It marks the first time that two current Clemson golfers reached match play at the same US Women’s Amateur Championship.Pancake fired a one-under-par 72 on Tuesday and finished in 21st place in the stroke play qualifier with a 145 total after rounds of 73-72. Her #21 finish was the best by a Clemson golfer at the US Amateur stroke play qualifier since 2017 when Alice Hewson finished fifth.Grewal shot a two-over-par 75 on Tuesday to go with her opening round 74.
