Sunset, S.C. – Behind Isabella Rawl’s career-best round, Clemson women’s golf tied for the best round of the day at -7 and currently sits in second place, five shots out of the lead, heading into the final round of the 2024 Clemson Invitational. Vanderbilt, the leader heading into today, finished tied with Clemson for the best score of the second round. Rawl recorded a career-high seven birdies to card a -5 (67) and sit tied for fourth heading into the final round. Annabelle Pancake was the only other Tiger to finish under-par on Saturday, carding a -2 (70) with four birdies to sit tied for seventh. Chloe Holder finished at even par and is tied for 15th, while Melena Barrientos wraps up the scoring portion of Clemson’s lineup tied for 37 (+2). Sydney Roberts was even on the back nine on Saturday, while Katherine Schuster was even on the front nine. Clemson, SC Chloe Holder shot a school record tying 63, Annabelle Pancake shot a bogey free 66 to finish second individually, and Isabella Rawl birdied three of her last four holes to lead Clemson to the co-championship of the Landfall Tradition on Sunday at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, NC.Duke also had a 21-under-par score for the 54 holes and was presented the tournament championship trophy due to a tie-breaker system that compared the scores of the fifth best player on each team. There was no playoff on the course.The tournament concluded the fall season for Kelley Hester’s Tigers, who were ranked 16th in the nation entering the 18-team tournament. It was Clemson’s first tournament championship since winning the ACC Championship last spring.Clemson and Duke finished with identical scores of 21-under-par 843, while UCF finished third at 844. The Tigers finished -5 on the back nine to climb into the top three after Friday’s play. Savannah Grewal leads Clemson with the Tigers’ best round of the day. The senior from Mississauga, Ontario, carded a four-under 68 on Friday. Grewal finished the back nine without a single bogey and turned in six birdies on the day to sit in a tie for third. Annabelle Pancake carded a two-under 70 as Clemson’s second-best scorer of the day. Pancake also finished the back nine without a bogey and recorded five birdies to sit in a tied for ninth. Isabella Rawl was the third Tiger to finish the back nine without a bogey and bookended her round with birdies to finish as the third Tiger under par (-1, 71). Clemson, S.C. – Clemson women’s golf returns to the course on Thursday for the final time this fall, traveling to Wilmington, N.C. for the Landfall Tradition. The annual tournament is being held at the Country Club of Landfall on the 6,194-yard, par-72 Dye Course. Clemson will be joined in the field by Alabama, Arizona, Duke, ECU, Furman, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan State, NC State, Nebraska, Penn State, Purdue, SMU, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, UCF, and tournament-host UNCW. Savannah Grewal leads the Tigers’ lineup, in what could potentially be her final collegiate tournament. Grewal is currently going through LPGA Q-School and has advanced to the Q-Series, where players must give up their amateur status to participate. Grewal missed the Tigers’ last tournament as she competed in Stage II qualifying where she finished sixth.Chloe Holder is second in the Tigers’ lineup after finishing the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship as the highest Clemson finisher.
