A car dealership has revealed when its new centre will open. The owners of Porsche Centre Kendal announced on Monday that the new Porsche Centre South Lakes, situated at J35 of the M6 near Carnforth, will be opening this summer. Work began on the new centre in June last year and its progress has been eagerly observed by motorists. A spokesman said: “It will be a state-of-the-art facility with ultra-fast chargers, a direct dialogue bay, specialist handover bay and much needed larger showroom and workshop facilities.”
BARNFIELD Developments are delighted to announce the purchase of a five-acre site for commercial development in Carnforth. The site, which has outline consent for B1, B2 and B8 use, is the latest acquisition for Barnfield Group’s rapidly growing development arm. Scheme proposals are currently being worked up for high quality units from 4,000sqft. The scheme, named Carnforth 356, is located on the A601(M) fronting Junction 35 of the M6. The development was named primarily linking the site with the location (Junction 35 of the M6), but inspiration was also taken from the old Porsche model 356, as a nod to the neighbours - the new Porsche Centre South Lakes, which is currently being constructed on the adjacent plot.
