Cumbrian climbers ready to take on K2 challenge Paul Etheridge and Pete Brittleton, both from Cumbria, are about to take on one of the hardest feats in climbing - the ascent of K2..and Broad Peak - and Porsche Centre South Lakes is going to help you stay along for the ride. Over the coming months Paul and Pete are going to attempt to climb Broad Peak (8,051m) and K2 (8,611m) and in doing so become the first British team to accomplish this daring and dangerous task. Only 377 people have ever climbed K2 and their expedition is the first all British attempt in 20 Years.

Porsche Centre now partnering with the Gilpin Hotel & Lakes House

Porsche Centre Porsche Centre Kendal is excited be partnering with the Gilpin Hotel & Lakes House to extend the Porsche Destination Charging network to the Lake District with the addition of five Porsche Chargers. The Gilpin Hotel & Lake House is a perfect partner for the network with a 21-acre site which has 28 bedrooms, 2 restaurants (the Michelin starred HRiSHi and the casual pan-Asian Gilpin Spice), a Champagne Bar, lounge, terraces and a croquet lawn. It also encapsulates six Garden Suites which have their own cedarwood hot tubs, five Spa Lodges which have their own en-suite spa and three even bigger Spa Suites which include a personal Porsche Destination Charger each.
