Altamont pass a little slowing traveling westbound 580 merging with 205, thats natural over there. On the north bay no slowing through american canyon, vallejo a smooth drive between both of those areas. A little slowing at the bay bridge toll plaza. Those cash lanes should start to clear up now that all the cash lanes are opening. We do have no problems for b. A. R. T. , a nice easy drive. No delays for the b. A. R. T. System but near the 24th street b. A. R. T. Station a couple blocks away we have some breaking news. For that, ill hand it back to you guys. Thank you, mike. The breaking news is a deadly shooting in the mission district, now a Homicide Investigation is under way. Today in the bays pete suratos is live for us at the police department, just blocks away from that shooting, and pete, what have you been able to find out . Reporter good morning to you
Weve got up right after the show. You guys have the warm pink the rain and i have the lighter side this morning. But we were all on that same wave length. Kind of like we were this weekend with the heat. Pretty much everyone in the bay area was a little bit warmer than normal for this time of year. Just depending on how close you are to the coastline is how far above normal you are. Were looking outside at the east bay hills right here where skies are very fog free. You are see some passing high clouds, but no fog across the east bay this morning. Only spot youre seeing that cool ocean air is right up and down the coastline. That means anyone along the bayshore inland. Youre going to see temperatures, shorts or a soaring here really quickly, warmed up still for much 60s 70s for your current temperatures. Vacaville getting could do was to 80 degrees already. And were going to last right past the 80s into the 90s, even triple digits for your warmest of temperatures later on this afternoo
The coastline and through the golden gate, most of us are sitting under nice sunshine now and temperatures are starting show some movement. San jose, youre at 70 getting close and brentwood in vacaville while still in the 50s over in timber on as well. San mateo and on up towards cloverdale as we move into the afternoon, temperatures will be right around the same as yesterday. So not a lot of changes just yet. Were going to save those changes for later on this weekend. And ill break them down for you and your forecast rain. All right, john, thank you for that. Well, we started off light. Then we got busy looks like things are light again, especially across bridges. 11 minutes meteor lights are still off at the bay bridge. So no Traffic Building at the toll plaza. 13 minutes 80 to 101 san mateo bridge. Richmond, sandra bridge about 8 minutes there. Maybe youre taking the Golden Gate Bridge right now. 37 to the tolls about 21 minutes. And lets look at our highways where were seeing that
Bank in place, a little drizzle out there, but temperatures, 5060s low clouds filling in nicely here. Not much change here compared to yesterday. All that tropical moisture we talked about is visiting Southern California for the high desert. And a little bit towards the central sierra. But for us, i think we have to wait a little bit before that maybe makes a move probably later in the weekend, 60s, 70s and 80s on those temps. All right. Sal is here. I dont know, picking up cones. Something else right now we have a crash, steve, that has all lanes here on 880 blocked southbound 880 at 16th. Let me put it on the map here for you. Southbound, 880 at 16th. The couple of trucks got into it in the 3 00 hour and its been theyre closed in that southbound direction. People are being taken off the freeway. Now. It is early enough that its not causing a major delay, but i would use eastbound 580 and forget about 880 south unless you are getting on the freeway after 16th. If youre getting on at t
