The atmosphere was festive on the patio of Jalisco's on Thursday, as people enjoyed a Mexican meal, bid on auction items and even got to enjoy live musical interludes performed by local youth.
An evening of music, Mexican food, auction items and a celebration of education: Pajaro Valley Education Foundation will be providing all of this when it hosts its Spring Fling fundraiser at Jalisco's on April 18.

Students, educators and parents packed the Pajaro Valley Unified School District board room Wednesday night to request the school board renew its ethnic studies program contract with an organization whose contract the board terminated in the fall.
"Public school is a right and should be accessible to everyone. Accessibility is more than providing transportation or information in multiple languages," writes Cassie Blom in a Guest Commentary. "It requires ensuring families can participate in school activities with the fewest barriers possible. Educational advancement cannot be equitably attained without accessibility. A recent Pajaro Valley Unified School District decision affects accessibility for hundreds of families."
