Florida State beach volleyball standouts Maddie Anderson and Paige Kalkhoff were voted to the CCSA Preseason All-Conference team the conference office released Wednesday.
Anderson, a junior from Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., was a unanimous selection to the preseason team which she was also named to before last season.She earned All-Conference, All-Academic, and All-Tournament honors in 2022 when she posted a 31-12 record. She helped lead the Seminoles to their sixth straight CCSA Championship title and a No. 2 finish after reaching the NCAA National Championship match.
Kalkoff is in her first season at FSU after transferring from FIU where she posted a 24-8 record last season. The junior from Cincinnati, Ohio was named First Team USA All-Conference and an AVCA Second Team All-American in 2022.
Florida State is ranked No. 2 in the country in the preseason American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll released last week.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. Florida State beach volleyball announced the addition of transfer Paige Kalhkoff from FIU. In her two seasons at FIU Kalhkoff went 49-13. In 2022 she finished the season with a 24-8 record with all of her wins on court one. She earned wins over No. 4 LMU, No. 5 LSU, No. 10 FIU and two wins over No. 19 Stetson. Kalhkoff was named First Team All-Conference USA and an AVCA Second Team All-American. During her first season at FIU, she went 25-5 with a 13-0 record on court four, 7-2 on court three and a 5-1 on court two. She earned ranked wins over No. 3 Florida State, No. 11 Stetson, No. 12 FAU, No. 14 South Carolina and No. 20 Florida Gulf Coast. She was named to the CCSA All-Freshman Team. Kalhkoff will join a Seminole team that finished as national runners-up. Florida State finished the 2022 season with a 33-1 record. The Noles also won their sixth straight CCSA Championship. TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The third-ranked Florida State beach volleyball team (22-4) lost to No. 15 FIU at home Friday night, 3-2.
After rain delays all day that did not allow the Seminoles to play their only match of the day until 7 pm, the Garnet and Gold fell to FIU 3-2. The match came down to the third set on court four that the Seminoles lost 18-16.
Florida State took a 1-0 lead with a quick win on court two by Torrey Van Winden and Keara Rutz. They took the first set 21-11 and then the second set 21-15. FSU expanded their lead to 2-0 with a 21-17, 21-13 win on court five from Jenna Johnson and Kate Privett.
