She was taken away from the line of fire by her partner that began to treat her injuries. She is at a local hospital tonight. She has worked here for six years. The first female officer shot in the line of duty. The second shot in the line of duty this year. This is what happened next. The suspect barricaded himself inside of several areas around that area. Businesses were shut down out of caution. Several hours later, eventually the wife in the family was able to get out. Even after that, they could take the man into custody. He is listed as 44yearold gabriels herrera. He has been charged of the attempted homicide of an officer. I want to play for you the
