Thats according to travel expert hayley berg from hopper. Were already seeing fares for International Trips like those to europe down hundreds of dollars for summer peak averaging about 30 off international and domestic flights right now, domestic airfares around 260 while International Flights are under 1000. She says its because most americans take their big trips in the summer. So theres a travel lower Airlines Drop prices to boost flying. Intrest was the best fares available are 2 regional destinations think mexico Central America and the caribbean. Those flights are usually cheaper than longer flights to asia and europe. Berg recommends for people to look at Discount Airlines make sure to look at what carriers are flying from the airport and if they might have special deals on new routes. Or out to their already flying. And she recommends booking an early flight so the trip doesnt get delayed or canceled. So taking that first bite of the day does actually benefit your peace of mind essentially your wall. And if you did face a disruption. So ins and outs that convinced me. Johns already taking us to the now. Alaskas going somewhere. Alaska. United. All the stay you know what a better forecast staying here just been scorching high the past few days now. Now were finally looking at at least us. Taking a step back from the heat a little so i dont mind triple digits, not so fun for any of us. Weve got a little bit of cloud cover still hanging out for parts of San Francisco. Look at there. You can see a little bit of suture tower there in the distance. What we are going to be seeing the next couple of days is going to be increasingly nice temps this weekend. Temperatures falling into the 80s for some of our inland cities, which will be a nice break. A little bit of stratus near the coastline right now. Elsewhere, though, all the sunshine calming down for the sierra the past few days of unsettled weather. There. But things are about to get real unsettled in the week ahead of us this right here is now category one hurricane hilary spinning off west of mexico. Truly massive storm in strengthening pretty rapidly here as we make our way through the next several days. We are going to see hillary strengthening likely to category 4 status and eventually making landfall on baja, california. There is potential here that this could be a Tropical Storm status still as it makes its way up into california would make it the first Tropical Storm in california since 1939. And as it does. So it is going to put in a lot of energy into the southern desert of the state resulting in potential flash flooding for areas east of los angeles and san diego out in those deserts that really cant handle that much water all at once. Even la could see well over 3 inches of rainfall in just a matter of a couple of days. We wont get your direct hit and from that and here in the bay area. But if youre heading south into early next week, this is an important thing to know ahead of time now where were sitting in the bay area today, not quite as hot as we have been. We still do have heat advisories for neighbors over in sacramento and fresno. That will be right back up into the triple digits today. But no one in the bay areas going to hit 100 degrees. We are seeing a slowly retreating from our peak temperatures. 60s and 70s from San Francisco down the coast in some 70s and 80s along the bay shore. Not a huge change from yesterday, but an to at least make it bit to hayward san leandro down to 75 getting a little cooler. As for antioch in vacaville, youre still hot at 96. But yesterday you were in the triple digits. So it is an improvement tomorrow. Improving a little further friday, saturday and sunday. Were right on par with our seasonal averages in the upper 80s to low 90s inland and 70s by the bay shore. See that cloud cover and chance of showers until late monday and tuesday. Its the remnants of hillary which will have a more of a hit for Southern California, but also leave us with a chance of showers as well. Daria, thanks a lot. And so they arrive at these stops about every 20 minutes. But heres the catch. Is because the driverless like us, like gps or whatever satellite does, dont run in heavy rain or heavy fog. So could be problematic for time to time. Would be common . Yeah. Haha. 10. 49 right now lets talk sports and the giants taking on the rays in the game 3 of their series at home in our sports director jason dumas has the highlights. The giants put a bandaid on the bleeding on tuesday night when they beat the rains. But theyre going to need more than a bandaid to fix their issues. Inside the park homerun news that type of day for the giants. They lose 4 of 6 on the homestand.
