It happened in unincorporated san leandro at a motel along foothill boulevard. We go there live. The Alameda County Sheriffs Department says a murder suspect out of oakland had barricaded himself inside a room since 11 30 this morning. They negotiated with him for a peaceful surrender for about five hours. Investigators say the suspect came out and opened fire on the deputies around 4 30 p. M. They say deputies returned fire killing the murder suspect. His identity has not been released at this time.
