We have a lack of any significant cloud cover out here so plenty of sunshine on the way and over in the east right now were already seeing the skies getting a little bit bright. But the temperatures are colder than theyve been in awhile. Were down to 39 in philadelphia. But a lot of spots like millville, allentown, reading and lancaster are actually down in the 20s. 26 degrees currently in allentown. And wilmington below freezing at 30. Trenton is also fallen below freezing at 31. Not much wind out here. The winds have fallen back as expected but it is cold and maybe youre digging some of that extra gear out of the closet where its been sitting for a while. On the bus stop this morning between now and 8 00 in a lot of neighborhoods in the mid 30s, thats where youre going to be. And as we go through the day things do get better. 47 degrees by 11 oclock. Someone snuck into his house. I went in the jewelry box to get it. It was a credit card. He didnt care about that but the two rings he had given to his wife. Anniversary ring i had given her with our first wedding anniversary. Gone. We were taken advantage of. Police dont know who is behind the theft. The workers insurance carriers all cleared. Then this video surfaced. A man graves doesnt know who had used that stolen credit card in north philadelphia. And this is where his faith in people can be redeemed. Id like him to say yeah, this is a person that used this card, i know this person. Is that likely, no. Police are hoping somebody knows this guy and kill tell them his name. Last night. As nbc 10s drew smith reports her neighbors are anxious. Investigators are searching for the killer. Reporter the mess in this apartment has police calling it a sadistic murder. Our killer was very, very angry. Reporter blood on the wall, her naked body left in the bathtub with the shower running. There were injuries all over her head, face and neck. Plus signs of possible strangulation. She was a very nice lady. Its scary because i live next door and i have children. Reporter it gets more disturbing. Investigators say the killer left a message on the wall. Which showed they meant to hurt and embarrass benson. It was done with a hatred, with a vengeance, and with just predatory sadistic violence.
