Our killer was very, very angry. Reporter blood on the wall, her naked body left in the bathtub with the shower running. There were injuries all over her head, face and neck. That will be approaching during the day tomorrow. Look at these numbers. 73 in philadelphia and northeast philly, 74 in dover, even 60 in mount pocono so it is warm, the southwest winds are in, 20 to 25mileanhour sustained winds in many parts of the area. So its going to be a windy night and its going to be a warm one. Look at these temperatures. As we go through midnight, still in the mid60s, some showers possible later on this evening and overnight. But we have thunderstorms that are likely to come into parts of the area during the day. And then Colder Weather over the weekend. Especially on sunday. Its going to feel like wintertime skund and couple days next week too. We have cloudy skies that hasnt stopped the temperature from shooting up there. 73 degrees, the wind is out of the southsouthwest, thats why its warm, 22 gusting to 30 miles per hour. Its 16 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. 58 degrees wednesday, 73 today so far, 78 friday, then look at the drop. 60s through saturday, 48 sunday with wind on top of that. Were going to talk about wind chill sunday. Certainly not tonight. The temperature barely drops and holds way up in the 60s throughout the night. Not going to need any kind of coats tonight. Look at the wind gusts out of the south, up to 30 miles per hour. 31 in allentown. 25 to 30 miles an hour across much of the rest of the area. You see all of the clouds around but the rain is farther to the west. These are lighter showers in central and western pennsylvania, the heavier stuff, the showers and storms approaching cincinnati now, just past chicago. That is in the forecast for tomorrow. So watch these temperatures and also watch some showers. So later on tonight, closer to midnight. There is a chance of a couple of showers as you can see. Were not talking about thunderstorms then but by the morning rush, there could be some heavier showers around. Look how warm it is. And its going to stay warm all day. And then some possible showers and storms developing. There we go. That is a line of heavy showers and thunderstorms. Coming through during the afternoon hours as the temperature is rising through the 70s. We have high humidity and we have gusty winds. So there could be pretty gusty thunderstorms. Look at those temperatures in mid70s. Even by 9 00 at night friday, the temperature 68 degrees. Then we start cooling down and some of the moisture may start to come back. This is the complication forecast for the weekend. Some of the computer models bring at least light rain in for saturday morning, others keep it down in delaware and south jersey. Thats where the highest chance of rain on saturday is going to be. And it certainly wont be near as warm as friday. So, were mild and windy, weve got a chance of late showers around. Low temperatures, 62 degrees, thats above the average high for this time of the year. 57 for the low north and west. During the day tomorrow, there could be some spot in the area that hits 80 degrees. Southwest, 15 to 20, gusting to 35 miles an hour and showers and thunderstorms, not going to rain all day but it could rain multiple times during the day. And the sevenday forecast, you can see the temperature drop on saturday. Its not all that cold. But the showers mainly in delaware and south jersey, thats where it will be the cloudiest as well. Best chance of sunshine farther to the north. Sunday, cold and windy. Could even be snow flurries up toward the poconos and lehigh valley. Monday, were starting off cold, we could get a shower during the day. And then another cold blast sets itself for tuesday where we could actually see some snow flurries or snow showers before we start warming up again. The nbc station is reporting that the troopers were doing training at the bus station when a man walked up to a trooper, pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. That and how a pass word problem is preventing a city Health Department from helping. Mitch blacher reveals what officials are not doing as he continues our investigation living with lead. Whats in room two. Reporter andy doesnt usually know what is waiting for him. Dealing with 3yearolds can be that way. All right. Reporter dr. Unger doesnt know if she has lead poisoning. He tests all of his patients to find out. Youre looking at a lot of misery with this. Reporter the state department of health found Lehigh County has the highest concentration of lead poisoning in the state. The major effects are on Central Nervous system, on brain and development and behavior. Reporter some kids will never show symptoms, others will have behavior issues or trouble learning in school. The majority of children that i have dealt with that have had elevated blood lead levels have been as a result of exposure to lead paint in their homes. Jeff south and the Bureau Statement more than 27,000 allentown homes have lead paint. Do you go out and test for lead . We do. No we do not have the resources to do that. Reporter the bureaus 3. 5 dtsds million budget isnt enough to fix all of the lead painted homes, since 2005 they relied on grant money to fix about 300 of the 27,000. But stout says the money is drying up. At the end of the day are you able to do this job . No. We could certainly use more resources, Financial Resources to help in this situation. Reporter in pennsylvanias most lead poisoned county the only Health Department says it responds to just 12 to 15 lead poisoning cases a year. 3500 kids in Lehigh County alone who have elevated levels of lead in their blood. You have any idea how many of those are in allentown . No. We havent been provided with that information. We went to the state to find out why allentown didnt have the information it needed to fight its lead problem. State Health Officials say the information was provided, allentown just didnt have a pass word to access it. We have had conversations with allentown since the report, there were some misunderstanding how toing a says. Turns out i think the folks didnt have their updated user name and pass word. The state unlocked the data. Officials say at least two people in the Health Bureau now have access, what no one can say for sure is why there is such a high concentration of lead poisoning in the county. Do you worry about lehigh count sne. I worry they have some of the oldest Housing Stock in the country. With Unanswered Questions about the lead levels in his community, dr. Unger is focused on prevention. The cure is prevention. The cure is finding where its coming from. He says the only way to do that is to test every child and pinpoint a source. Now its not just lead point. Recent tests have found lead in drinking water. Testing showed water at allentown high school, Union Terrace and Northeast Middle School in bethlehem all contained lead, those schools are doing their own testing and using bottled water until they get the results. The low temperatures are in the 60s, and by morning it could be in the upper 60s. To near 70 already. Not going to take much to get close to 80 during the day tomorrow. There is the strong south wind gusting to 31 miles an hour in allentown, 30 in philadelphia, 28 miles an hour in wildwood. That keeps the temperature right at the beaches a little bit cooler. The pollen getting blown around with all of these winds. Today is high. Tomorrow with the rain that knocks some of the pollen out of the air. At this time of the year allergy sufferers are looking for rain. The rain ends the pollen shoots back up, by sunday it is really high. Now, the clouds continue to increase across the area, you dont see any rain. So were not expecting any over the next few hours. This area of showers in central pennsylvania, mostly light, some of those could come in toward midnight. This is the area where the real action is going on, cincinnati southward, some strong thunderstorms there, also through indiana thats part of the system that is coming through tomorrow. So, look at these temperatures. Pretty amazing for this time of the year. Couple of showers possible. Toward midnight, by morning, a little bit more activity around. But then later on during the morning and into the afternoon those areas of red indicate showers perhaps thunderstorms, and you can see that coming through in the afternoon with the temperatures way up into the 70s. And again close to 80. Windy tonight, a chance of a late shower, 62 for the low which isnt very low of course. During the day tomorrow, were into the upper 70s. Winds at least as strong as today and some showers and thunderstorms. Not going to rain all day. On saturday the system might stall a little so we have shower chances, especially delaware and south jersey. Look how much colder sunday and gusts over 4 o. Then monday is a little bit less cold, and then tuesday we got another shot of cold air and wind and maybe even snow flurries. Sure does seem everyone is wild about the wildcats. We continue to get new information about breaking news, we are following out of virginia. Virginia state trooper ambushed and killed at a Greyhound Bus station in richmond. Drew smith is tracking this story. Drew, tell us what we know so far. Whats confirmed at this point . In the past minutes Law Enforcement did tell us that the threat is over, the nbc affiliate in richmond is reporting that six people were shot at a bus station including two state troopers, one of those troopers is dead. The troopers were taking part in a Training Exercise when someone walked up, pulled out a gun and started shooting. He shot a trooper in the chest, killing him. The officer started firing back and killed the gunman. We heard from a witness at the bus station when it happened. I had my hand on the door handle when i heard two gun shots go off. I didnt think they were gun shots but then five, 10 more after that and i could see the muzzle flash through the door so i ran out.
