To be colder. Lets start you with satellite. We have a lack of any significant cloud cover out here so plenty of sunshine on the way and over in the east right now were already seeing the skies getting a little bit bright. But the temperatures are colder than theyve been in awhile. Were down to 39 in philadelphia. But a lot of spots like millville, allentown, reading and lancaster are actually down in the 20s. 26 degrees currently in allentown. And wilmington below freezing at 30. Trenton is also fallen below freezing at 31. Not much wind out here. The winds have fallen back as expected but it is cold and maybe youre digging some of that extra gear out of the closet where its been sitting for a while. On the bus stop this morning between now and 8 00 in a lot of neighborhoods in the mid 30s, thats where youre going to be. And as we go through the day things do get better. 47 degrees by 11 oclock. Still kind of chill there will but by 1 oclock 53 and by 3 oclock, 58. A high today of 60 probably around 3 30 or 4 00 so lots of sun, less wind and it does get better later on. Overnight resurfacing work that has started this week along north broad street by city hall has wrapped up for the morning so crews will return tonight at 7 oclock. For now youre good to go there around city hall. We had a downed tree in ardmore just north of suburban square along glen road at Saint Georges road but thats been pushed out of the way so everything is reopened there. However in quakertown bucks county were getting word of a building fire along pacific drive near pen a. M. Drive. Driving along california road this morning watch out for the emergency crews responding to that building fire. Construction crews in new castle that were working overnight along 295 northbound near 95 have cleared out. Everythings reopened there. And there are no issues on 95, 495 or 202 the concorde pike and if youre coming up 42 through camden and gloucester counties this morning, so far so good. The parents of the Young Children seen in this online video that we should have there terrorizing riders on a septa train talk about the incident. The video shows the children acting out swearing spitting hitting other passengers and they found the parents then say theyre not happy with what they see. Action News Reporter Annie Mccormick is live in olde city with more on the ugly ordeal and mom and dads response. Annie. Reporter and matt, those kids got on the market frankford line right here at second and market last week. It was soon after that one of the riders on the train took video of them cursing, spitting and spitting at one passenger. Septa Police Wanted to see if the kids were safe and if they needed professional help. This is a video of a group of potty mouthed kids firing insults to a person recording them on the market frankford line last thursday. Four boys and a girl traveling with a woman. The mother of two of the boys, eight and 10, says shes embarrassed. I just want to apologize to everybody that seen that video. I want to apologize to the man that went through that. Reporter yesterday action news aired unblurred video to help identify the kids. Tips from action news helped police find the two families of the children. We want to get them help. This is not a case where its 6 00 a. M. Some day were going to be busting down a door and dragging that many out in little handcuffs. Its just not going to happen. Reporter the father of the 11 and sevenyearold boys and the eightyearold girl said hes not surprised about the kids language but he is angry at the children for their behavior. He also blames the person recording them telling us his kids were egged on. You know, they not kids with silver spoons, you know, born. All they hear is curse words from inside the house through the whole street and everything. You know, and then seeing this stranger started enticing them recording them getting a kick off of seeing little kids being kids, you know, they dont put that on the news when hes calling the kids monkey and all that. Thats racist. Reporter and its not clear if septa police have interviewed the more than recorded the video. They have sat down with the parents that you saw on that video and the children and they have interviewed them. Two of the children seen on the video are being treated for add. And police in Mercer County new jersey are looking for two men who robbed, beat and tied up a 92yearold woman. This happened on manor drive in ewing sometime between monday night and yesterday morning. Investigators say the suspects broke into the womans home while she was asleep and demand money. They tied her up with appliance cords and then dragged her down to the basement. A friend noticed that the door was opened and called police. They discovered that woman badly beaten but conscious. Shes now in the hospital in guarded condition. Neighbors say they cant imagine why anyone would hurt her. Shes quiet. She keeps to herself. She used to belong to the garden club. One thing if youre going to rob somebody but theres reason to beat here. Police have not released a description of the attackers and what if anything they made off with. A man accused of killing a woman stuffing her body in a recycling bins and opening fire on Police Officers is on trial. Hes charged with abuse of a corporation. The womans body was found on valentines day in a recycling bin at an allentown apartment complex. Police attempted to arrest the man few days later when they say he exchanged gunfire with. They a detective and the suspect were wounded. We have new information about a story that action news first told you about yesterday. The Bethlehem Area School district says water tested at Northeast Middle School contained lead levels that they say were well below federal standards. The district collected water samples after a Lehigh University professor of Environmental Engineering tested the drinking water. He looked at water samples from bethlehems Northeast Middle School, allentowns Allen High School and Union Terrace Elementary School. And his tests found that the lead levels were higher than the federal standards. The allentown School District is still waiting on their own test results. Winds only running out of the south at about seven to 14 Miles Per Hour so you dont have to worry about any of those strong gusts like we had yesterday. 46 degrees is the overnight low, a few clouds around tonight but not as cold as it was this past overnight and thats partly because of this southwest wind thats going to be kicking in. It wont be all that strong but it will be drawing milder air from the south and tomorrow beneath a warm front that southerly flow will continue to warm us up and after a high of 60 today, tomorrow we get up to 72. Sun will give way to increasing clouds with this frontal boundary coming in from the west and that warm front still relatively close by. And at night well probably see some rain. Theres even an outside possibility that you get a little spritz during the day but i think most of this is going to hold off until nighttime and future tracker6 is certainly buying into that idea. This is 6 oclock at night. You can see how the clouds have filtered in tomorrow and as we head into the evening it will be cloudy. Then later after about eight, 9, 10 oclock youll start to see a few showers around. County line road now shut down for work on the branch, the bridge over the branch of the nil Little Neshaminy Creek there. Watch out for that going until next friday. In northampton township willow road is now shut down, the bridge over iron works creek thats closed through june so tanyard road or new road are alternates around that new work zone. Matt. Thank you matt. New on action news, a jeep flipped from a bridge in alabama and got stuck in a tree sideways. The 50yearold driver was rescued from the river bank below on a stretcher but later died at the hospital. Witnesses think he fell out of the vehicle. Police are still not sure how the jeep got suspended in that tree. It took three hours to hoist the vehicle back onto the bridge. Also new, a texas teen is charged with allegedly taking a picture of one of her classmates using the bathroom and then posting that up on social media. Police say 17yearol 17yearoe barnhill invaded a fellow juniors privacy. The victim says barnhill snapped the lewd photo last week while the girl was using the restroom. Then they say barnhill posted it on snapchat where it was shared by others. The district says barn little is no longer a student at the baytown school. Shes expected in court later this week. 6 18. A shooting in West Philadelphia has a 14yearold fighting for his life this morning and police arent even sure that the bullet he took was meant for him. Action News Reporter Katherine Scott is lie outside of Police Headquarters with the latest on this story. Good morning, katherine. Reporter good morning, tam, thats right, that 14yearold boy is fighting for his life. He remains in the hospital this morning in extremely Critical Condition and police say he was in surgery overnight and theyre still trying to determine exactly what happened last night but investigators were out last night, they were expecting evidence and they determined that at least eight shots were fired from a semiautomatic weapon in West Philadelphia last night. This happened just before 9 30. Police say they responded to the reports of shots fired on the 200 block of north simpson street. But the victim, a 14yearold boy, was found around 60th and vine. How he got to that second location remains under investigation. He was shot once in his back. He was taken to penn Presbyterian Hospital in very critical can condition. Investigators are still trying to piece together what happened. Right now we do not have a motive for the shooting. We dont have a description of a shooter or shooters. Were not even certain at this time if this 14yearold victim was the intended target or if he was hit with a stray bullet. Reporter and southwest detectives were out at that scene last night. They were taking a look at nearby surveillance cameras to see if there was any footage around there that could help in this investigation. Of course call southwest detectives if you have any tips. And new this morning a 26yearold man is in surgery after taking three bullets to the head, chest and arm. Philadelphia Police Believe he was shot inside his own home. They found evidence in the living room after following a trail of blood from the 800 block of cecil street in cobbs creek late last night. Someone dropped off the victim at the hospital. Hes now in Critical Condition. And police still dont know who pulled that trigger or why. Also new from the cobbs creek section, a resident there tells authority that a relative was the one who start add fire on her front porch. The action cam was along south 60th street as firefighters surveyed the damage to the house. A woman called 911 just after midnight. She saw flames on her porch and feared she would be trapped inside. Crews quickly put out the fire and the woman escaped unharmed. Septa police have now identified five children seen behaving really badly in a viral video. Officials circulated the march 24th recordings from the market frankford line in an effort to try to get the families involved help. The Young Children could be heard cursing and seen hitting passengers on the train. Some of the children are being treated for attention deficit disorder. While one of the mothers ha has nothing but apology the father also puts blame on the person videotaping the children for egging them on and using what he calls rails assistants.
