Good evening. Dozens of firefighters tried to rescue her after the fire started around 5 00. Grieving neighbors stopped by the burned out home in boothwyn tonight and thats where we find our reporter. Whats the scene like now . Reporter well, denise, take a look behind me. The house is boarded up. The inside though is completely gutted. The victim is a wife, mother and grandmother whos very well known in this neighborhood. Their house is gone. Gone. Right now, a developing story about an officer who has resigned from the force. Turns out the Sarasota Police officer is in hot water for sharing confidential information. And now he is facing criminal charges. He gave information to a relative. Reporter good afternoon. Soon after the investigation began, the lew at the innocent resigned. Investigators the lieutenant resigned. According to court document, back in october, he used Law Enforcement resource for perm use. He looked up a womans driver licenses information and gave it to his brother. That data is only supposed to be used by Law Enforcement during events like traffic stops and investigations. He has been charged with misuse of confidential records.
