A serial thief, who stole more than $1,000 worth of goods from a Coast shopping centre he was banned from will spend more time behind bars.
Christopher Andrew OâNeill stole a total of $1570.50 worth of goods from Myer and JB Hi-Fi between December 2020 and March this year.
Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard the 47 year old stole clothing and a backpack from Maroochydore Myer, two smart watches and a portable charger from a Maroochydore Jb Hi-Fi and ventured to Brisbane Myer where he stole more clothing.
Outside of court police prosecutor Nick Nitschke said OâNeill stole $1292.55 worth of goods from Maroochydore Myer on January 30 alone.

Subscriber only A magistrate has told a Coast man to grow up and stop acting like a yobbo after he was arrested on New Year s Eve for arguing with a security guard over a $50 entry fee. Magistrate Matthew McLaughlin said Robert Kerry Harman-Schufft was being a drunk idiot when he tried to argue with bouncers at the Post Office Bar on Ocean St just after midnight. The intoxicated 21-year-old struggled with a security guard after being asked to leave the club, the Maroochydore Magistrates Court heard. Police prosecutor Nick Nitschke said Harman-Schufft had paid a $50 entry fee and was demanding a refund for being kicked out soon after he was let in.
