Police taking part as racial tensions continue to simmer. Reporter they laid out a National Reform plan they say they believe could really make a difference and it begins with several concrete steps. The three Police Unions took out ads saying there are no words to convey our disgust and sorrow over the murder of george floyd adding they have an obligation to take action. They are calling for a national use of force standard focusing on des esqescalation and to ide officers that might need more training. This comes after the death of george floyd at the hands of police and calls to defund them. We are serious about talking on a National Level about National Reform. Not just in the city of san jose. We are following news right now. That breaking news involves a situation that still brought traffic to a standstill on the bay bridge. Cars blocking every lane on the westbound span. We saw a patrol car pulle just ten minutes ago. This is a live look as i speak. We heard reports of officers stopping cars on the bridge at t yerba buena island. It may be a protest. No traffic is moving on the western span of the bay bridge. As you look at that shot right there, you can see some of those folks out there on the bridge. Were talking about around a dozen or two dozen people on that bridge. Ive seen some other pictures out there this evening of the standstill and the backup before this area, the area that has been closed down because people literally waiting in their cars for this situation to be cleared where they can open this up to traffic.
