A total of 888 cases were disposed of in 2022 during the periodic Lok Adalats conducted by the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), an official report informed.

Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) under the aegis of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) will conduct the 4th quarterly and final National Lok Adalat (people’s courts) for 2022-2023 in all the district headquarters on November 12. An update from NSLSA informed that a total of 12 Lok Adalat benches at District Court premises and High Court Legal Services Committee (HCLSC) would be set up by the district legal services authority (DLSA) and HCLSA. It mentioned that Lok Adalat is one of the alternative dispute redressal mechanisms and a forum where cases pending in the court of law or at pre-litigation stage are settled or compromised speedily and amicably. Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Justice Lanusungkum Jamir of Guahati High Court, Kohima bench, inaugurated the Child-Friendly Zone and e-Sewa Kendra at District Court Complex, Phek, on October 15. Jamir, who is also executive chairman of Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA), in his inaugural address, appreciated the deputy commission of Phek for helping in setting up the child-friendly zone through PBPB Scheme, an updated stated.
