Nagaland joined the world in observing “World No Tobacco Day” under 2023 theme, “We Need Food, Not Tobacco” by organising various programmes to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use on May 31. The day also highlighted the “Tobacco Free Home” campaign.
Dimapur, Nov. 15 (EMN): District Legal Services Authorities (DLSA) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Legal Services Authority (NSLSA) and direction of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) carried out the ‘Haq humara bhi to hai@75’ in various districts of the state. ‘Haq humara bhi to hai@75’ is a campaign for providing basic legal assistance to persons confined in prisons and child care institutions, an update stated. It is a pan India campaign for bridging the gap between the institutions and the underprivileged by spreading legal awareness and ensuring delivery of legal entitlements to eligible beneficiaries to commemorate the 75th year of Independence.
