COVID-19 Tracker: Mumbai sees record 11163 cases on Sunday, 25 deaths

Mumbai is moving in only one direction- upwards! From 9090 cases on Saturday, Mumbai breached the 10,000-mark on Sunday, with the city reporting 11,163 new cases. This is the highest single-day spike since the pandemic began last year. The Maximum city is now host to 68,052 active cases, With 25 deaths, the total number of deceased patients now stands at 11,776. Out of the 25 deceased, 18 had co-morbidities. 13 patients were male and 12 were female. 3 deaths were between 40 to 60 years of age. 5263 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. The total number of patients cured/discharged so far stands at 3,71,628.

Mumbai: In view of the rising cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra, the state government has announced lockdown and night curfew in several districts with Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray warning of complete lockdown if cases continue to rise.
