Reporter if the governor signs this bill, most people in california will likely need to invest in one of these, a reusable bag, especially people here in milpitas. The bill would prohibit singleuse plastic bags at Grocery Stores and large pharmacies in 2015 and at Convenience Stores in 2016. It also lets grocers charge ten cents for paper and reusable bags. I think everybody should carry a paper bag, no plastic bags. Its good for the environment. I think it would be bad for businesses and lead to more thefts. Reporter the bill also includes 2 million in loans to help manufacture places to produce reusable bags. There are some plastic bag bans on the books in some cities but not here in milpitas.
