WILKES-BARRE — Some workers for one of downtown Wilkes-Barre’s largest employers will return to the office in September after working remotely for more than three years because of the COVID-19
For Mark Bronsberg, another day of snow on Monday meant another day of bad business at his restaurant Mimmoâs Pizza on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.
âItâs starting to become depressing,â Bronsberg said. âI hate days like this. You know coming in, itâs going to be lousy.â
Business has been bad enough due to the exodus of downtown workers who are still working remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said. The constant snow in February has made a bad situation worse, Bronsberg said.
âIt kills business. It changes the little business we have,â Bronsberg said. âThe curse of 2020 is continuing.
