Two years ago this week, Pennsylvanians and people across the country were sheltering indoors, enduring the first days of lockdowns due to a newly-discovered virus.
For Mark Bronsberg, another day of snow on Monday meant another day of bad business at his restaurant Mimmoâs Pizza on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.
âItâs starting to become depressing,â Bronsberg said. âI hate days like this. You know coming in, itâs going to be lousy.â
Business has been bad enough due to the exodus of downtown workers who are still working remotely because of the COVID-19 pandemic, he said. The constant snow in February has made a bad situation worse, Bronsberg said.
âIt kills business. It changes the little business we have,â Bronsberg said. âThe curse of 2020 is continuing.
