Reporter though peaceful, weekend protests escalated outside the 24th and 25th district in philadelphia. [ bleep ] police. Reporter the inyourface aggression by this group who calls themselves the philly coalition for real justice was unlike anything they experienced in some time. There are white pigs. There are latino pigs. They were profession a. They were patient, and i admire their resolve. Reporter the demeanor and contrast that with former Police Commissioner tom timoney. During the Republican National convention of 2000 he physically clashed with protesters. His bike was called and the socalled timoney three were acquitted. Dozens of protesters were locked up at times overnight during the rnc. Since that time philadelphia authorities have also dealt with the occupy movement, the nonviolent protesters for quick equality.
