Joining us is our political analysts Mark Alderman and jim schultz. Its our political punchout segment. Democratic analyst Mark Alderman, hes going to join us live in the Digital Operations Center on left side and republican mark schultz right side in cleveland. The party is getting ready there for next weeks Republican National convention. Good evening to you both. Good evening. Good evening, thanks for having us on. No problem. Lets start with the republicans. The rnc starts on monday, and donald trump is expected to announce his Vice President ial candidate this week. Jim, lets start with you. Trump has certainly not followed the traditional rules of president ial gains as we know. Do you think that trend will continue with his Vice President ial pick . Donald trumps a businessman and hes going make Business Decisions and decisions that are in the best interest of this country in terms of his selection for a number two. Weve seen experienced folks like House Speaker former House SpeakerNewt Gingrich who shook up washington when he was there and seen a Lieutenant General in the army and weve also seen governor mike pence who has lowered taxes, created jobs in his home state of indiana and has seen firsthand the policies of the Clinton Obama policies that have so terribly affected his citizens. Hell take that experience to washington and shake up washington along with donald trump if hes chosen. Well, jim, also, governor Chris Christies name has been mentioned and thrown in the mix . Well, he would be a great candidate as well. It would a great number two as well. Certainly Chris Christies the kind of guy who would go to washington and shake things up and i think thats something that we can look for as well. Mark, what are your thoughts on that . I think the question is whether this is going to be a palin pick or a ryan pick. Ryan was competent and credible. He enhanced the ryan ticket. Palin proved to be a fool and a fraud and she hurt senator mccains candidacy. This year the twist, of course, is the republicans have already picked a pail nonchoosing trump as their nominee so well see if he can improve his chances. Hard to imagine, but hes surprised us all year so never say never with donald trump. Very direct opinion there. Lets talk about the democrats and move forward here. Bernie sanders expected to endorse Hillary Clinton tomorrow. Mark, well start with you. Will this help her bounce back from lets say the recent backlash from her email scandal . Keith, this is the 2008 playbook all over again with bernie playing hillary and hillary playing barack obama. She campaigned hard for obama in the summer of 2008 and we went into the convention very strong and we came into november. I think youll see that with the dream team of democrats on the field, the president and Vice President and senator sanders. We lost jims signal from cleveland and mark and jim, we want to thank you both for joining us. See you both again next week live from the Republican National convention in cleveland.
