People here in dallas and across the country are trying to make sense of last nights deadly sniper attack, targeting white officers during the police protest. The investigation is still in the early stages. Dallas police say the attack appears to be racial. The suspect reportedly wanted to kill white Police Officers. Loretta lynch says the Justice Department is keeping a close eye on the situation. We intend to provide assistance to investigate this attack. To help heal the community that has been shaken and deeply scarred. Reporter meanwhile Police Departments across the country are taking extra precautions. Weekend and temperatures beginning to slowly warm up yesterday and continuing away from the coast. Not much change on the coast, 40s, 50s and 60s, and cool at the coast, 51 at morgan hill, 55 at campbell, and statewide it looks quiet other than the fog, translating into the 60s and 70s by the water, 80s and low 90s inland. 6 01 am. We have a problem with caltrain, it hit a vehicle, and abandoned pickup truck on the tracks at the broadwayberlin game crossing, and no one was in the truck, and apparently the truck was disabled and the person got out and the train was unable to stop in time, and no one was injured. Caltrain says there are delays, and they are setting up a bus ridge, at least a 90 minute delay for the caltrain riders this morning due to the collision between the train and the pickup truck on the tracks. Tale of cowardice by an assassin. Reporter the gunman, a 25 yearold u. S. Army reservist with no criminal record. He told investigators his goal was to kill white Police Officers. He died when police cornered him in a parking garage and detonated a robot. Paul, minnesota after protesters clashed with police after the deadly shooting of Philando Castile last wednesday.
