Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested two suspected armed robbers, Jerry Chuckwedu, 23, and Tomiwa Olawale, 22, for allegedly dispossessing a gold merchant of chains and rings valued at N6m at gunpoint.
The suspects were arrested on Monday following a report lodged at the Ogijo Divisional Headquarters in the Sagamu Local Government Area of the state by one Abubakar Hassan.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Oyeyemi said the complainant reported that his brother sent him from Idi-Araba in Mushin Lagos State to deliver some gold chains and rings worth N6m to his customer at the Igbo Olomu area of Isawo in Sagamu.

Police nab three railway cable vandals in Ogun

Men of the Ogun State Police command have apprehended three workers of Railway Corporation for vandalizing the railway cables in Kajola area of Ifo local government area of the state.
The suspects; who were arrested on the 11th of March 2021, according to a statement by the command Public Relations Officer are Frank Obi (26), Eze Ogbonna (42) and James Ejor (27).
The statement added that the suspects were arrested following a report by the supervisor of Kwochason Global Gas company working on new railway construction in Kajola that five persons were caught while cutting cables at the railway line by the company security guard.

Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Eyo Eta on the Ijebu-Mushin/Benin Expressway while allegedly fleeing with his boss’ car.
Eta, a resident of No. 78 Iju Road, Ifako, Agege, Lagos State, was said to be running away with a Toyota Highlander SUV with number plate APP 467 GS when he was apprehended.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was accosted by men of the Federal Highway Patrol team around 9.30pm at the Imeri junction, Ijebu-Mushin while heading for Benin.
