Men of the Ogun State Police Command have arrested one Eyo Eta on the Ijebu-Mushin/Benin Expressway while allegedly fleeing with his boss’ car.
Eta, a resident of No. 78 Iju Road, Ifako, Agege, Lagos State, was said to be running away with a Toyota Highlander SUV with number plate APP 467 GS when he was apprehended.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was accosted by men of the Federal Highway Patrol team around 9.30pm at the Imeri junction, Ijebu-Mushin while heading for Benin.

Driver fleeing with stolen boss’s car arrested in Ogun

Attempt by a driver , Eyo Eta, to escape with his boss’s Toyota Highlander vehicle has been foiled by men of the Federal Highway Patrol, Ogun State , Tuesday night, following his arrest.
The driver was said to have been instructed to go pick the vehicle with plate number APP 467 GS from the mechanic to his boss’s house at an undisclosed area in Lagos, only to disappear with it.
Spokesman for the Ogun State Police Command, Abimbola Oyeyemi, explained that the suspect was accosted by 9.30pm at Imeri juncture, in Ijebu Mushin area of Ogun . During interrogation on ownership of the vehicle, he said Eta could not give satisfactory response , thereby arousing suspicion.

The Delta State Police Command on Wednesday confirmed an attack on a bullion van by suspected armed robbers.
The police said that the attack occurred at Ubulu-Okiti axis of Asaba-Benin express road, killing a police officer and two others.
The acting spokesperson of the police command in Delta, DSP Bright Edefe, who confirmed the incident to newsmen, said the incident took place on Tuesday.
He, however, said that the command had yet to get full details of the incident.
“I can confirm the attack on the bullion on Tuesday, but as I speak with you, we have yet to get full details of what happened,” Edefe said.
