Planters mascot Mr Peanut and the NUTmobile to visit Niceivlle, Destin

SANTA ROSA BEACH Residents of Somerby Senior Living got an unusual visit Friday in the form of Mr. Peanut, the more than 100-year-old legume mascot of the Planters brand nuts. Sporting his signature top hat and monocle, Mr. Peanut arrived at the assisted living facility in the Planters NUTmobile. “The NUTmobile is a 26-foot peanut on wheels,” said Shannon Hope, who is one of nine crew members or “Peanutters” who drive Planters’ three NUTmobiles around the country for a year. “We stop in a new city each week and our goal in every city is just to spread smiles and bring joy to the communities we visit, Hope said.
