The match is set to kick off at 6 p.m. and slated to stream on ACCNX. Admission is free to the public. This marks the first time that Campbell and Clemson will meet in the history of the programs. The Fighting Camels are coming off a 1-1 draw against Mercer and look to have another solid season as they are reigning 2o21 Big South Regular Season Champions. CLEMSON, S.C. - The No. 25 Clemson women’s soccer team. opened their season with a 0-0 result against the Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday evening at Historic Riggs Field in front of more than a thousand people, despite great scoring opportunities from both squads. “It was great to be back out at Historic Riggs Field,” said Head Coach Eddie Radwanski. “It was a very good game tonight between two great teams. [Texas A&M’s Head Coach G Guerrieri] G’s group is competitive, and their shape was a challenge. I’m really pleased with our performance so early in the season. The work ethic we put in was exceptional. If we can move forward with that type of commitment, we’re going to be in good shape. I also want to thank all the fans that came out tonight. CLEMSON, S.C. – Junior defender Megan Bornkamp was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List on Thursday by United Soccer Coaches. In addition, Bornkamp was recognized to the 2022 Preseason All-ACC Team and United Soccer Coaches Players to Watch List last week. Bornkamp led the Tigers in goals (10) and points (30) last season. The defender is incredibly efficient on set pieces, coming up to attack. Her performance throughout the season earned many recognitions. The two-time All American was named First-Team All ACC along with United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-Atlantic Region, ACC All-Tournament team, preseason All-ACC, All-ACC Academic Team and CoSIDA Academic All-District in 2021. Bornkamp will lead the Tigers’ backline and will look to have another impressive season in the 2022 campaign. Bornkamp was named a third-team All-American at the conclusion of the 2021 season, while Hershfelt earned second team All-ACC honors. Bornkamp led the Tigers in goals with 10 and points with 30 last season. The defender does most of her damage on set pieces, coming up to attack and use her height and physicality as a weapon in the air. Her performance throughout the season earned her a myriad of recognitions, including first team All-ACC, ACC All-Tournament team and more. She figures to play a massive role for Eddie Radwanski's Tigers in the 2022 season. Hershfelt tallied seven goals in 2021, tied for second-most on the team with Renee Lyles.
