Red flag warning has been issued as high winds and warm temperatures cause increased fire danger putting the bay area on high alert. The utility says the potential power shut off could happen as early as tomorrow afternoon affecting more than 22,000 customers take a look at what bay area counties could be affected by the power shut off. Those counties are alameda contra costa santa clara and san mateo napa sonoma and solano counties, the highest probability areas or the north bay mountains near mount saint helene small pockets in the east bay near mount diablo the Oakland Hills east of piedmont and portions of the santa cruz area. And the power shutoffs do need to happen in your area you will be notified in advance via text call or email. So lets take a look out pg es outage map this is the latest information all the purple triangles are the affected areas. Thats where the power is currently out. Here in the bay area customers in alameda contra costa napa san Mateo Santa Clara santa cruz solano and sonoma counties are without power right now we can see that from the map. Pg says some customers may not see the power back on until 10 oclock tomorrow night. Fours will tran in napa county and reyna harvey is in the east bay, but first want to start in the weather center. With the forecast john travel has that yeah guys its already nice and sunny out there conditions, calm and cool for the time being but thats not going to last the beautiful start to the morning. Sets us up for more fire danger ahead of us right now were in the midst of continued red flag warnings in the north bay adding to that list though in addition to it red flag warnings taking effect tonight for upper elevations in coastal peninsula areas and inland east bay areas. Daytime highs will be warm enough combined with those winds gusting as high as 40 Miles Per Hour and continued dry conditions that yes fire danger does remain of concern we may be calm right now, but winds pick up this afternoon. Tomorrow a little bit cooler, but winds even breezier come the afternoon. Thats why these red flag warnings extend not just through today, but on into tomorrow and even into friday
