And the power shutoffs do need to happen in your area you will be notified in advance via text call or email. Its terrible to say, but you almost get used to it it is not been easy lately for calistoga residents who were forced to evacuate for 6 days during the glass fire from the burn scars in the surrounding mountains, you can see how it burned right up to the edge of town and now because of hot dry and windy conditions in the forecast pg e says. They may have to cut power to part of this town as part of the Public Safety power shutoffs to help reduce the risk of more wildfires. This is not the first time this has happened here calistogas mayor says theyve endured multiple Public Safety power shutoff since 2018. Which is expected to keep the lights on for about 60 of the towns residents that includes the downtown section which means the towns Grocery Store Hardware Store pharmacy in many restaurants will remain open residents without power will be able to juice up their devices and cool down at the Community Center when and if the psp ps happens wednesday. Well i would expect that to be reasonable at the same time i would say given the current patterns particularly when it comes to corporate policies are henri more work, its very likely that the rents in the downtown or will remain friendly soft for a while so for tenants this is an excellent time to to move up to alton. This is quickly review Santa Cruz Mountains are included in this as well as the east bay east of the east bay hills Solano County all of it in the north bay as well only exceptions around water you will notice and San Francisco is not technically in that. Some of these winds in the Higher Elevations, they me push upwards to about 50 Miles Per Hour or so. So the game plan besides the red flag warning which we just talked about this week were looking at hot temperatures still with temperatures staying in the 90s inland each day. Then this weekend we get some relief here is they actually backtrack on sunday. If you can back to the 80s a little bit so that will feel pretty good in inland areas and looking at 90 shave off maybe a degree by sunday that could be kind of drop in one day saturday still hot sunday should be a little cooler looking at the wynn projections. We have there you can see off to the east Solano County where the winds pick up the arrow pointing down so we have that offshore wind. Its very apparent wednesday night through thursday morning also covering napa county and some Sonoma County to extending down to the east bay. Now looking at the trends with this also in moisture levels we do get a little recovery tomorrow morning, not much and thats when the red flag warning actually takes it takes hold. Well look at numbers much lower than this for the afternoon before the inland areas, 58 tonight, San Francisco open about 66 to san jose. Inland areas that are shielded from when well see temperatures drop a lot quicker tonight radiational cooling factor and maybe in San Francisco, some of that marine layer might sneak in a bid to help you out with temperatures. Lows tonight across the district and region 50s up to the north bay 65, antioch 62 livermore 60 san jose but to that 7 day forecast its an unknown and 90s all week long and well be treated to some 80s by sunday and into monday, so knots right dave thank you for that. Now coming up next the nerve wracking encounter a utah man had with a a harrowing experience on a utah trail when a man went face to face with a pouncing cougar kyle burgess was hiking when he saw the cougar begin to follow him in the video he shouts at the cat makes himself seen big. But the cat continues to follow him. And a teacher in michigan is being recognized for her efforts that may have saved the life of one of her students grandmothers miss julia koch was working with students on september 22nd.
