New Delhi: The Uttar Pradesh government will issue an e-pass for those travelling during the ‘corona curfew’. On Monday (May 3), UP had increased the period of curfew till 7 am on May 6 (Thursday) in view of the alarming upswing in COVID-19 cases.
The curfew was earlier scheduled to be in force till May 4. Now, all shops and establishments will remain closed till Thursday 7 am. Earlier, the UP government had announced that weekend lockdowns will include Mondays as well.
The number of positive cases and deaths is rising following which the government has taken the decision to clamp the day curfew.
VIJAYAWADA: A partial curfew from 12pm to 5am will be imposed in Andhra Pradesh from May 5 for 14 days to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had taken the decision after a review with officials of health department at his Tadepalli camp office on Monday.
The state government is already imposing a night curfew from 10pm to 5am.

AMARAVATI: The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to impose a partial lockdown starting Wednesday, May 5 for 14 days, to curb the surge in COVID-19 cases in the State.
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, who held a review on the COVID-19 situation in the state, took the decision to impose further restrictions considering the number of COVID cases on the rise in the state.
Shops and establishments will be open from 6 am to 12 pm and only emergency services will be allowed later.
Prohibitory orders under Section 144 will be imposed from 6 am to 12 pm.
Congregations of not more than five members would be allowed.

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to impose a partial curfew in the state as Covid-19 cases are increasing day by day. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Covid conditions in the state. He announced that a partial curfew will be imposed from Wednesday.
The State government already enforcing night curfew. But on Chief Minister s call, all the shop are permitted from 6 AM to 12 PM. YS Jagan mentioned that only emergency services will be available in the State. He said that the curfew will be continuing for two weeks.
Corona curfew was extended for another 7 days in Bhopal, on Sunday. Earlier, district collector had imposed corona curfew till 6 am on May 3, it's now extended till 6 am on May 10. Besides, 43 new containment zones were constituted across the city on Sunday and all type of movement in these zones will be restricted. Hours before the four-day lockdown ended, Goa CM Pramod Sawant thanked the people for following the same and extended the restrictions till May10 with a few changes.
