Lucknow: A home guard who was dismissed from service for his alleged involvement in the death of a teenaged boy in Uttar Pradesh s Unnao district was today arrested in connection with the case. Two police constables - also accused in the alleged crime - are on the run and efforts are being made to locate them, police officials said. A murder case has been filed against all of them. We have arrested one accused while the other two police constables are on the run. Efforts are being made to trace them. We have conducted raids at various places to trace them. Strict action will be taken against those found guilty, the police said in a statement.

Lucknow: In the view of rising COVID-19 infections in the state, the Uttar Pradesh government on Saturday (May 15, 2021) decided to extend the partial corona curfew in the state till May 24. Earlier, the UP authorities had imposed a corona curfew in the state on April 29, which was later extended on May 10 and 17 respectively. The decision was taken a day after Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a virtual meeting with top officials of the state to review the COVID-19 situation. 

UP extends partial corona curfew till May 17

Synopsis Under the rules of partial curfew that were laid down by the state through a circular on May 3, all government offices will function 50% occupancy and employees have been asked to come in shifts.
