"The relaxations were announced in 55 districts on Sunday, which has now been increased to 61 (of the state s 75 districts). According to latest reports, the active caseload has fallen below 600 in Sonbhadra, Deoria, Baghpat, Prayagraj, Bijnore and Moradabad, and the relaxations will be applicable in these six districts as well," an official spokesperson said here.

Amid a surge in coronavirus cases, the Uttar Pradesh government on Monday decided to increase the duration of the weekend lockdown by 48 hours to cover Tuesday and Wednesday also. The corona curfew from Friday 8 pm to Tuesday 7 am has been extended for 48 hours. Now it will continue till May 6 till 7 am, Additional Chief Secretary, Information, Navneet Sehgal told PTI.
All shops and establishments will now remain closed till Thursday 7 am.
This arrangement is for this week only, he said adding that decision has been taken for breaking the chain of coronavirus.

The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to impose a partial curfew in the state as Covid-19 cases are increasing day by day. Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy held a review meeting on Covid conditions in the state. He announced that a partial curfew will be imposed from Wednesday.
The State government already enforcing night curfew. But on Chief Minister s call, all the shop are permitted from 6 AM to 12 PM. YS Jagan mentioned that only emergency services will be available in the State. He said that the curfew will be continuing for two weeks.
