The coronavirus pandemic is spreading so quickly around the world that Health Experts are having a tough time keeping track of all the new cases. Heres what we know. Right now, Johns Hopkins university in the u. S. Reporting more than 307,000 covid19 infections worldwide. More than 13,000 people have died. As more testing is done in the United States, the number of confirmed cases is surging. There are now almost 26,000 cases of covid19 and more than 320 deaths. Just a few hours ooh that was 300 deaths to show you how quickly its moving up. The epicenter of the outbreak in europe is still italy. More than 53,000 cases. That is double any other country outside of china. Nearly 800 people died there in a single day. The Prime Minister says it is the greatest crisis facing the country since world war ii. And the contagion is spreading

And we really appreciate you joining us, as we bring you the very latest developments on the coronavirus as the pandemic surges around the world, the mantra in Health Officials is loud and clear stay home. One day after california ordered its residents not to go out, new york, connecticut and illinois have now fallen suit. That affects some 75 million americans. For now, the rest of the country does not face such restrictions, but people everywhere are urged to stay home as much as possible. And the reason, its simple. Testing shows, the virus is spreading quickly everywhere. The number of confirmed cases in the u. S. , now approaching 19,000. More than 250 people have died. The Global Pandemic shows no signs of slowing. Johns Hopkins University has logged more than a quarter million cases and well over 11,000
Place of the coronavirus pandemic had succeeded for a month and a half at keeping the infection numbers low but suddenly they have surged day by day over the course of the last week. So the chief executive, carrie lamb, she Just Announced that all transit travel through the airport will be banned. All nonresidents are no longer allowed to come here to hong kong for a period of 14 days. That is after the government here also announced that all Public Servants are not to come to work as of monday. All public facilities, libraries, gyms, recreational centers, they will be closed as well, as of midnight on thursday, any new arrival coming here into the airport, they are getting an electronic wrist band and they have to go into a mandatory 14 day quarantine. This is all in an effort to try to stop the apparent backsliding that hong kong is going into after it did have that success initially at stemming the outbreak here. Robyn . Administration. 224 days now until our president ial election. Its been 12 days since the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus a pandemic. Again tonight, if you saw the White House Briefing earlier this evening, then you know the news is basically good. The president sees a light at the end of the tunnel. Hes thinking we can start making our way back to work, start circulating again round about Easter Sunday. He says hed like to see churches packed on east every sunday. In fact, hes been thinking even sooner than easter. At minimum, hed like to be able to clear large sections of our country that its safe to get back out here. Mike pence reported today mcdonalds is doing Curbside Pickup at select locations. And it turns out apple had 9 million masks, more than the u. S. Strategic reserve. Apple has now decided to donate those masks for use by our medical workers. And this caveat. Again tonight back in the real world, the coronavirus news is grim. We are now north of 53,000

Leaders of countries all over the world are dealing with the virus and for the most part with notable exceptions most leaders are not saying things like, well, the flu is really bad too and a lot of people die from car crashes and, you know, what about the stock market in President Donald Trump began this crisis by down playing and denying the severity of the virus saying he liked the numbers where they were, telling us everything was under control, the cases would go down to zero all while he presided he over an abject failure of response. Last week he decided to declare war on the virus, tweeting in all caps occasionally at it, and after a few days of said war it seems like he is now looking to surrender. Today President Trump participated
