Erika cabrera got video of the aftermath as rush hour drivers and pedestrians looked on in disbelief. I heard about ten or 15 shots fired and was trying to figure out what was happening, where it was coming from. Reporter trooper Patrick Casey tried to get his cruiser in front of the fleeing car, but the suspect rammed him and opened fire just before slamming into the bus. We saw the cops draw these big guns and they are behind their cars with their guns out. Reporter all the while, the suspects car had caught fire on rapidly engulfed the bus as officers tried to arrest the driver. Looked like he was talking into a cell phone, kind of kneeled down on the ground. They were approaching him and then as soon as they got close, he stood up and started to run.
