Two days after 27-year-old Eryn Toogood and her two daughters were tragically killed in a house fire, the Lebanon Junction community is remembering them.
SHEPHERDSVILLE – A position that has been debated throughout the years is the Constitutional office of constable. While not requiring any formal law enforcement training, the role of constable is a very powerful one in Kentucky. In Bullitt County, the constable’s position has seen officeholders take a variety of roles in the community. The following candidates answered letters seeking interviews, as well as notices in the newspaper: FIRST DISTRICT
LEBANON JUNCTION It was a rare occurrence on Friday evening. Tornado warnings were issued for two areas of Bullitt County as storms swept through the region around 10:30 p.m. Justin Warner, director of the Bullitt County Emergency Management, said that the National Weather Service confirmed that an EF-1 tornado did in fact touch down near Lebanon Junction. He said around midnight there were reports of a possible touch down. At that point, he said EMA officials responded to assist the Lebanon Junction Fire Department and to make assessments.
