Two days after 27-year-old Eryn Toogood and her two daughters were tragically killed in a house fire, the Lebanon Junction community is remembering them.
SHEPHERDSVILLE – A position that has been debated throughout the years is the Constitutional office of constable. While not requiring any formal law enforcement training, the role of constable is a very powerful one in Kentucky. In Bullitt County, the constable’s position has seen officeholders take a variety of roles in the community. Lebanon Junction Fire Chief Josh Coleman said there was an unsubstantiated report of a twin engine plane landing at Addington Field with a smoking engine. Lebanon Junction Fire Chief Josh Coleman said emergency crews received numerous reports of a smoking plane flying low over the Interstate 65 area around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday. Coleman said reports put the plane somewhere between the 102 and 105 mile markers. The reports also said the plane went into the woods and that there was visible smoke. A search began to locate a potential crash site, with crews from Lebanon Junction, Southeast Bullitt, Nichols, Shepherdsville, Zoneton, and Fairdale Fire Departments joining Bullitt County Emergency Management.
