SHEPHERDSVILLE – A position that has been debated throughout the years is the Constitutional office of constable. While not requiring any formal law enforcement training, the role of constable is a very powerful one in Kentucky. In Bullitt County, the constable’s position has seen officeholders take a variety of roles in the community. The following candidates answered letters seeking interviews, as well as notices in the newspaper: FIRST DISTRICT
SHEPHERDSVILLE — As Santa prepares to deliver gifts off his list to all the good little boys and girls, there are hopefuls filing in the final weeks to earn a spot on the winning list of candidates. The election deadline for partisan, as well as the races for mayor and city council in Lebanon Junction, is at 4 p.m. on Jan. 7. Non-partisan races will have until June 7 to file. A few more candidates put their names into the hat for the May 17 primary.
